Bonham Carter takes early BAFTA for The King's Speech
The star, who plays Britain's late and beloved Queen Mother in the acclaimed film, beat out competition from Amy Adams (The Fighter), Barbara Hershey (Black Swan), Lesley Manville (Another Year) and Miranda Richardson (Made In Dagenham) for the prize. As she collected her honour, she told the star-studded crowd, "I'm so used to losing, it's quite a strange feeling to win", before adding, "I think I should thank the Royal family frankly because they've done wonders for my career." It was the first big BAFTAs triumph for The King's Speech - it is nominated for an impressive 14 awards at the 2011 event, which is taking place at London's Royal Opera
Marino clings on to lead at Pebble Beach
American Steve Marino dealt with the good, the bad and the ugly in a wildly fluctuating third round on Saturday to stay ahead of the chasing pack in the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

Four ahead overnight, Marino ended a frustrating day on the greens with a one-stroke cushion after carding a one-over-par 71 at Monterey Peninsula, one of three venues being used this week.
In pursuit of a maiden PGA Tour title in his fifth full season on the US circuit, the 30-year-old mixed two birdies and an eagle, at the par-five sixth, with five bogeys for a 12-under total of 202.
That left him one ahead of compatriots

The Stormers completed their warm-up phase to the Super Rugby season with a patchy 34-6 win over the Boland Cavaliers at Newlands on Saturday afternoon. - Great prizes in our Super Rugby prediction game
