Carrey signed up for Actors Studio chat after snubbing the show for 17 years

Acting greats have appeared on James Lipton's studious show since it launched in 1994 and the host has made no secret of the fact Carrey was one of the names at the top of his original wish-list. Lipton admits he has pursued the funnyman for 17 years. He tells EW.com, "His was one of the first invitations I ever sent out, but Jim's extremely shy. It was a marathon getting him on.
