James Franco to Direct Faulkner, McCarthy Adaptations

I have this little theory that James Franco doesn’t actually sleep. I mean, he can’t have time to, right? He’s a soap star, a performance artist, a musician, a writer, an actor, a pillow doll enthusiast, a graduate film student at multiple universities, and now he’s a screenwriter and director; there’s no way he has time to count sheep at night. Now not only is putting that film-centric, multi-university education to work by diving into the behind-the-scenes arena, but he’s doing it with some pretty intense source material. He’s just finished shooting The Broken Tower, about the modernist poet Hart Crane, and now he’s juggling two more literary options. Franco hopes to take on a Fox Searchlight adaptation of William
