Murder scene axed from Knox film

Hayden Panetierre stars as the college student convicted of killing her roommate Kercher in 2007 in the Lifetime network's Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy. The dramatisation, due to air in the U.S. on Monday night (21Feb11), has drawn harsh criticism from both girls' parents, while Knox's mother and father have threatened legal action if the film is released. Knox was sentenced to 26 years behind bars in 2009 and is currently in the process of appealing her conviction.
