Paranormal Activity 2 scares competition to top U.S. box office

The thrilling sequel debuted at number one, stealing the title from Friday the 13th, which earned $40.6 million (£27 million) when it opened last year (09). The success of the documentary-style Paranormal Activity 2 bumps outrageous stunt movie Jackass 3D into second place with $21.6 million (£14.4 million).
