Veteran Maclaine loved playing the older woman to Black's Texas mortician in the film, tentatively titled Bernie, and she has offered up her services again if the film becomes a musical.
Black tells WENN, "It's a Harold and Maude story but a twisted dark version and Shirley Maclaine is a legend in all of her glory.
