Escaping the tabloid drama claiming alleged abuse, Britney Spears headed out with boyfriend Jason Trawick for a romantic weekend getaway to Mexico.
The couple took a private jet south of the border while accompanied by a slew of staffers as Miss Spears and her man celebrated her 29th birthday - which was on Thursday, December 2nd.
Tweeting about the planned excursion, Britney previously wrote, "Ok, off on a romantic weekend with Jason for my birthday. xoxo Brit"
The trip comes after Star magazine and Radar Online released audio claiming to be Spears talking to ex beau Jason Alexander about Trawick having hit her - while the two tabloid news sources later came out with a folowup story inferring drug use by the pop star.
