Now that the roadblocks standing in the way of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit have been removed, things are picking up steam. Following reports that Cate Blanchett will be reprising her Lord of the Rings role in the new Tolkien adaptation, new chatter is coming in about Orlando Bloom's possible return to the franchise as well. Deadline is reporting that Bloom is in talks to reprise his role as Legolas, the skilled archer Elf. The site speculates that this could mean Ian McKellan (Gandalf), Andy Serkis (Gollum) and Hugo Weaving (Elrond) could be next to fall in line. The Hobbit is currently scheduled to be released on December 2012 for part one and December 2013 for part two.
