That lifted him to a halfway total of 10-under-par 134, level with Charl Schwartzel with whom he will play on the final day on which 36 holes are scheduled after rain left Durban Country Club sodden on the opening day on Thursday and the first round incomplete.
“I can’t remember the last time I played with Charl in a tournament,” he said, “so it will be great. The two of us always aim to play together somehow.”
