UPDATE: No Truth To Ricky Gervais Claim About Hosting Golden Globes

Head of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Phil Berk, exclusively told The Hollywood Reporter he never asked Ricky Gervais back to host the Globes for a third time. "There is no truth to this rumor. We have not asked him to come back. Nice try, Ricky," Berk said in a statement. Ricky Gervais wrote a post on his blog alluding to the fact that he had been invited back for another year. "The ratings were up again and the organizers asked me to consider a third year," he wrote in a comic-book blog featured in Heat magazine and on his website. "I don't think I should," said Gervais.
