Actor Brea named 'person of interest' in mother's stabbing death

Brea's New York City neighbours called police to the star's Brooklyn apartment after hearing screams in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Police spokesperson Detective Martin Speechley tells TVGuide.com 55 year old Yannick Brea was found with multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at 2:20am. Reports suggest she was decapitated. Brea was reportedly found clutching a Bible and had to be subdued with a taser. He was taken to a nearby hospital for a psychiatric evaluation with a police escort. A neighbour tells local TV station WPIX 11 News, "I hear the brother chasing her (his mother) through the house and he's just saying a bunch of (Bible) passages like, 'Repent, Repent, Repent.'"
