Platinum Stars, and Bradley Grobler in particular with a brace on the night, made Moroka Swallows season even worse as they resigned the Birds to their seventh defeat of the season when they beat the them 2-0 in an Absa Premiership match at the Moruleng Stadium on Saturday night.

Platinum Stars were definitely the better team on the night. They took charge of the midfield early on with their high work rate and bone-crunching tackling. The Birds, on the other hand, looked a little lacklustre and as if they had left their football brains in the change room.
