Stewart and Colbert Rallies Draw Measly Viewership

Despite the legions of fanboys and fangirls waiting in fitful anticipation of the Rally To Keep Fear Alive/Rally To Restore Sanity this Saturday, it seems that there weren’t too many folks tuned into their televisions to actually watch the big event. There were 200,000 rational people joining in the celebration of sanity in Washington, D.C. with Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and friends, but only two million people tuned in on their televisions for the incredibly reasonable afternoon. While compared to 200,000, two million seems like a great improvement but in the world of television ratings, it’s pretty damn dismal.
