Never-before-seen Picasso works surface in France
Retired electrician Pierre Leguennec, 71, claims Picasso gave him 271 works when he was working on the artist's home in the south of France in the 1970s. The works, which include lithographs, watercolours, portraits and sketches, date between 1900 and 1930, and are estimated to be worth a staggering $77.1 million (£50 million), according to reports in France. Leguennec reportedly approached the artist's son, Claude, to authenticate the works earlier this year (10). David Tennant, Dougray Scott, Jack O'Connell and Sam Claflin have joined United, the James Strong-directed film based on the true story of Manchester United's legendary 'Busby Babes.' The soccer club boasted the youngest side ever to win the Football League before the 1958 Munich Air Crash that claimed eight of the their number. The film draws on first-hand interviews with the survivors and their families to tell the inspirational story of a team and community overcoming terrible tragedy. New allegations of corruption have arisen just days before Fifa executive committee members are due to vote on football's World Cup hosts in 2018 and 2022, Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung reported.
The newspaper said a list of Fifa officials who have taken "millions in payments" is circulating.
"There are many names from postbox companies," an anonymous Swiss resident who has seen the list, told the newspaper, which explained that some Fifa executive committee members are hiding behind these companies.
The newspaper added that a well-known member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is also on the list.

After relentlessly running each other all over the court for more than three hours in a match that flip-flopped throughout, Rafael Nadal got the breaks he needed Saturday to beat Andy Murray 7-6 (5), 3-6, 7-6 (6).
The top-ranked Spaniard, however, had to overcome a mid-match slump to reach his first final at the ATP World Tour Finals, where he will face 16-time major champion Roger Federer.

Reel Movie Reviews: Faster
Faster strikes me as the kind of movie that was never really intended to be "good", merely a balls to the wall actioner. And while we do get that, along with a nice heap of 70's revenge flick fare, the distilled characterizations don't necessarily make for the most interesting film. But that's not why you'd be going to see it. If you've bought a ticket for Faster, chances are all you want to see is The Rock kick some ass again. If that's all you were looking for, you might be pretty happy with your purchase. Soderling keeps alive tour finals challenge
Swedish fourth seed Robin Soderling defeated Spain's David Ferrer 7-5, 7-5 on Tuesday to keep alive his bid to reach the semi-finals of the ATP World Tour Finals.
Soderling and Ferrer had both lost their opening Group B matches in the prestigious end-of-year event at London's O2 Arena, so the loser of this clash was almost certain to be eliminated.
It is the former French Open finalist who remains in with a chance of reaching the last four if he can beat Roger Federer in the last round of group matches on Thursday.

S1E10: In its first season, Boardwalk Empire quickly defined itself as a show with great atmosphere, excellent set design, and interesting character development. But at the same time, on a week-to-week basis (and here we are, with only two episodes in season one remaining), nothing ever really happens. Don't get me wrong -- that's not necessarily a bad thing. In the show, we've seen Margaret grow from a timid, abused Irish immigrant to her current position of political power and, in a sense, the "Queen" of Atlantic City. Also, Jimmy is no longer the punk kid that heisted hooch in the first episode. Instead, he's grown into a full-fledged gangster.But, like I said, other than seeing our characters grow up a bit, nothing has happened.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will be sidelined for up to four weeks after suffering a "significant" hamstring injury while on England duty, the Premier League club said on Thursday.
