The top three seeds at the Paris Masters learned the identity of Wednesday's opening opponents as the race narrowed for final places in the ATP year-end championship event this month.
Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray were all jockeying for practise time on the ultra-fast, fully booked centre court at the Bercy arena as they prepared to start competition in the final week of the regular season.
All are qualified for the eight-man World Tour Finals which begin November 21 with three spots in that field still undecided.
