The star took over school canteens in Huntington, West Virginia for the first season of Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, which saw him promoting healthy food habits to youngsters in what has been labelled one of the unhealthiest cities in America.
Oliver was planning to move the Emmy Award-winning show to L.A. to improve food in the city's schools, but he's been told to find a new location by officials at the Los Angeles Unified School District, who insist they don't need his help.
Melissa Infusino, the director of partnerships in the education superintendent's office, tells the Los Angeles Times, "Our feeling was that his time would be better spent or invested in other communities."
