The South African swimming team claimed two golds and two bronze medals on the first day of the penultimate leg of the Fina/Arena Swimming World Cup in Moscow on Tuesday.
Roland Schoeman, who is currently ranked in third position based on the
points accumulated over the past five legs, raced to a golden 26.48 in the
50m breaststroke.
Following closely behind was Brazil's Junior Gomes in 26.96 and Russia's Stanislav Lakhtyukhov in 27.10.
Later on the in the evening, Schoeman made his second trip to the podium
when he won the bronze medal in the 50m butterfly with a time of 23.03.
The gold medal went to Nikita Konovalov
